Abstract

The development of technology in the industrial sector has experienced very rapid and advanced development at this time. In the production process in the industry, especially the sorting process, optimization is needed both from the performance and the results of the performance so that high work efficiency and maximum results can be obtained. So a goods sorting tool with a barcode system is needed as a tool that can sort goods automatically which is equipped with a barcode system to obtain information about the goods to be sorted so that it can make it easier for users to arrange goods according to what is desired. This goods sorting tool is equipped with a conveyor to move goods to the sorting place. This goods sorting tool method uses a barcode sensor that functions to detect the qr code on the goods, a weight sensor (loadcell) that functions to measure the weight of the goods, and an infrared sensor to detect the presence or absence of goods on the distribution line. After testing and analyzing the goods sorting tool with an Arduino Uno-based barcode system on the goods sorting system, the conclusion is that the goods sorting tool works well and the results achieved are in accordance with the function and work of the tool.

Abstract

The growing number of electric vehicles (EVs) has increased the demand for fast and sustainable charging infrastructure. Currently, most charging stations in Indonesia rely heavily on electricity from the national grid (PLN), resulting in high operational costs, especially during peak hours. On the other hand, the potential of renewable energy sources, such as solar power, has not been optimally utilized. This final project aims to design and develop a hybrid fast-charging station prototype that combines power sources from PLN (60%) and solar panels (40%). The system is designed to support the charging needs of electric motorcycles produced by PT Len Industri (Persero), using fast-charging technology that is efficient and environmentally friendly. Testing is conducted to ensure the system provides a fast, stable charging solution while reducing dependence on the conventional power grid. The results of this project are expected to contribute to the development of a more sustainable national electric vehicle infrastructure.

Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has opened up great opportunities in improving the quality of health services, especially for the elderly who have a high risk of heart and respiratory disorders. This research aims to design and build an IoT-based elderly health monitoring system that is able to monitor three vital body parameters, namely heart rate and oxygen saturation (SpO₂) in real-time, and provide early warnings if abnormal conditions occur. This system uses MAX30102 sensors to measure heart rate and oxygen saturation. The NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller is used as a data processing center connected to an I2C LCD for local display, buzzer as an alarm, and Blynk and Google Sheets applications for remote monitoring and data logging. The test results show that the system has a high accuracy rate, with an average accuracy of 98.88% for heart rate, 98.74% for oxygen saturation. The system is proven to work optimally and well integrated, making it feasible to be used as an independent and efficient elderly health monitoring tool.

Abstract

Uncontrolled use of electrical energy in boarding houses and rentals often causes waste of power and high electrical loads. This research aims to design an Internet of Things (IoT)-based electric power monitoring and control system in two rooms using ESP32 microcontroller, PZEM-004T sensor, and OLED display. The system is integrated with the Blynk platform for remote monitoring, six relays to control electrical loads, and Google Sheet as a medium for storing monitoring data. Tests were conducted using several types of loads, including a 15-watt lamp, soldering iron, fan, cell phone charger, and 600-watt water heater. The test results showed a difference in readings between the sensor and multimeter with an average percentage error of 0.3% for voltage, 4% for current, and 0.53% for power. The current error is relatively high because the current value is so small that the difference slightly affects the percentage. In addition, testing on the relay shows that the system is able to automatically cut off the current when the cost limit is reached, as well as the buzzer works well when the cost limit is approaching. Based on these results, this system can be an effective solution in saving energy and controlling electricity usage based on IoT

Abstract

Solar energy is one of the renewable energy sources that has great potential in Indonesia, due to its abundant availability and zero greenhouse gas emissions. However, the performance of solar panels can degrade due to high temperatures generated by continuous exposure to sunlight. This research aims to design and implement an effective cooling system to increase the output power of solar panels. The system is designed with a real time remote monitoring feature using the Blynk application, and is equipped with an automatic data logging  system  into  Google  Sheets.  The  cooling  mechanism  is carried out by spraying water onto the surface of the solar panel which is activated based on a predetermined temperature threshold value (set point). The test results show that the system is able to reduce  the  panel  temperature  by  5.46°C  and  increase  the  output power  by  1.76  W.  The  ratio  of  power  increase  to  temperature decrease is recorded at 3.1 W/°C, which proves that the system is effective   in   keeping   the   panel   temperature   below   40°C   and contributes significantly to the improvement of solar panel performance
