Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the beef trading sector in East Bekasi District face various challenges, including fluctuating beef prices, unstable supply availability, and increasing business competition. These conditions affect selling price stability and reduce business turnover, which affects business performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial motivation, entrepreneurial orientation, and product innovation on the business performance of beef MSMEs in East Bekasi District, Bekasi City. This research used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample consisted of 127 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 29. The results showed that entrepreneurial motivation, entrepreneurial orientation, and product innovation partially and simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on business performance. Product innovation had the most dominant influence on business performance with a regression coefficient of 0.460, followed by entrepreneurial orientation (0.410) and entrepreneurial motivation (0.190). The coefficient of determination (R²) value was 0.904, indicating that 90.4% of business performance could be explained by the three independent variables, while the remaining 9.6% was influenced by other factors outside this study. Therefore, improving entrepreneurial motivation, entrepreneurial orientation, and product innovation can help improve the business performance of beef MSMEs.
