Abstract

This qualitative case study evaluated the effectiveness of physical fitness training on the productivity and career development of 54 Indonesian Army (IA) soldiers aged 50 and older at Jasdam V/Brawijaya. Results from questionnaires and triangulation indicate that the effectiveness of the training (4.62), productivity (4.68), and career development (4.59) fall into the “Very Good” category. Heavy workloads and age-related physiological conditions pose the main challenges to consistent adherence to the program. This study formulated a five-stage Adaptive Physical Fitness Training Model based on individual assessment, training flexibility, and medical supervision to sustainably support the productivity and careers of senior soldiers.
