Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of employee motivation and employee commitment on employee performance. Employee performance is an important factor that determines the achievement of organizational goals, yet it is often influenced by internal factors such as employee motivation and commitment. The research sample consisted of employees selected using the purposive sampling method to ensure relevance to the research context. This study applied a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires and subsequently analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach supported by SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that employee motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, employee commitment also contributed positively and significantly to employee performance. Together, these two variables proved to be important drivers of improved employee performance. This study underscores the importance of strengthening motivation and building commitment to support the achievement of optimal performance. The findings provide practical contributions for organizations in designing managerial strategies that support the improvement of employee performance and overall organizational success.
