Abstract

The availability of adequate sports facilities is one of the supporting factors in creating an active and healthy school environment. Sports facilities are not only needed to support students’ learning activities but can also be utilized by all members of the school community, including students, teachers, educational staff, school staff, and other individuals within the school environment. One of the sports facilities that can be developed is a pickleball court, which can serve as a space for physical activity and recreational activities. This community service activity aimed to provide a pickleball court as a means of developing sports activities at SMAN 5 Samarinda. The implementation method consisted of site observation, coordination with the school, planning, area preparation, court construction, facility installation, completion, and documentation. The results of the activity showed that the construction of the pickleball court successfully provided a new sports facility that can be utilized by the entire school community. The court can be used for learning activities, training, recreational activities, extracurricular programs, and joint sports activities. With the availability of this facility, SMAN 5 Samarinda has an alternative sports facility that can support physical activity, social interaction, and the introduction of pickleball to the school community in a sustainable manner.
