Abstract

The provision of drug information regarding medications is a fundamental aspect of pharmaceutical care aimed at providing accurate guidance to patients. The objective of this study is to investigate the provision of drug information and patient adherence levels among hypertension patients at Dr. Moewardi Regional General Hospital, Surakarta. This research employed an analytical quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, utilizing prospective data collection. Measurement tools included closed-ended questionnaires. Data were collected in February-March 2024. The study findings revealed that the majority of patients were aged between 40 and 59 years, predominantly female, with a high school or vocational school education, employed in the private sector, and had been suffering from hypertension for less than 3 years. The analysis indicated that the average sample demonstrated moderate adherence levels. Commonly provided drug information included drug names, indications, and side effects.
