Abstract

Background: Female workers are are vulnerable to anemia, especially nutritional anemia. Promotive efforts need to be made with health education to increase knowledge about iron deficiency anemia and its prevention among workers at PTPN XII Lawang Purpose: To Increase knowledge about iron deficiency anemia and its prevention. Methods: Provide counseling to PTPN XII Lawang workers, and assessing knowledge before and after counseling through questionnaires. Results: The activity was carried out on Wednesday the date. March 27, 2024, attended by 50 workers. Before the counseling begins, participants are given a pre-test and a post-test after the counseling. Only 36 participants answered the pre-test and post-test. The average correct answer in the pre-test was 49%, while in the post-test it was 98%. Conclusion: There is an increase in knowledge of iron deficiency and its prevention after education.
