Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by student worksheets (LKS) and Monopoly game media on the learning achievement of fourth-grade students in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) at SD Negeri 1 Sumbang. The study employed an experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design with pretest and posttest. The population consisted of students at SD Negeri 1 Sumbang, with Class IV A as the experimental group and Class IV B as the control group, comprising a total of 31 students. Data were collected through observations and tests. The test instruments consisted of pretest and posttest items, and the data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing resulted in the rejection of H? and acceptance of H?, indicating that the TGT learning model assisted by LKS and Monopoly media had a significant effect on students’ IPAS learning achievement. Therefore, the use of TGT combined with LKS and Monopoly media can be considered an effective alternative learning approach for improving IPAS learning achievement among fourth-grade elementary school students.
