Abstract

This study aims to analyze the educational quality development model in the Fiqh al-Iqtishod concentration based on the integration of turats (classical Islamic scholarly heritage) and modern economics at Ma'had Aly Sunan Drajat, Lamongan. This research employs a qualitative approach with a single case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation study covering curriculum documents, KMA policy, and institutional instruments. Data were analyzed using Miles, Huberman & Saldana's (2014) interactive model encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing validated through source triangulation. The findings reveal that educational quality development is conducted through: (1) curriculum integration of classical Islamic texts and modern economics across 160 credit hours in 8 semesters; (2) hybrid learning methodologies (bandongan, sorogan, bahtsul masail, academic discussion); and (3) integration of pesantren-based economic practices rooted in the values of Sunan Drajat's teachings. The resulting model, termed the Progressive Turats-Integrative Model (PTIM), emphasizes the balance between classical textual authority and contemporary economic relevance. Evaluation against KMA Regulation No. 1495 of 2025 indicates that most standards have been met, except for course structure and reference texts that require adjustment.
