Abstract

National coverage of Long-Term Contraceptive Methods (MKJP) remains below the targets set in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), underscoring the urgency of identifying its determinants at the primary healthcare level. This study aimed to identify and classify factors influencing MKJP coverage among women of reproductive age at Werdhi Agung Primary Health Center. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was applied to 60 active family planning acceptors using total sampling. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test (KMO = 0.749) and Bartlett's Test of Sphericity (p = 0.000) confirmed the suitability of factor analysis. Among respondents, 60.0% used MKJP, surpassing the national average of 22.41%. PCA yielded two principal components explaining 86.845% of total variance. The first component encompassed maternal age, spousal support, knowledge, occupation, education, and parity as a sociodemographic dimension; the second was exclusively represented by contraceptive user status as the actual behavioral dimension. MKJP adoption is inherently multidimensional. Strengthening reproductive health education, engaging husbands in contraceptive counseling, and implementing acceptor-segmented interventions are recommended to sustainably improve MKJP coverage.
