Addressing unemployment is a complex challenge for the government; the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia mandates that citizens have the right to work and a decent standard of living. A growing population increases the government's responsibility to ensure the welfare of its citizens. Consequently, the East Lombok Regency Manpower and Transmigration Agency plays a pivotal role in curbing unemployment through specific programs and budget allocations. This study aims to identify the strategies employed by the Agency to address unemployment in East Lombok Regency. A descriptive qualitative research method grounded in post-positivist philosophy and focused on examining phenomena in their natural setting was utilized. The findings indicate that the Agency addresses unemployment through workforce training and productivity programs at the Selong Vocational Training Center (LLK Selong), equipping prospective workers with the necessary skills and competencies. These initiatives include the Employment Opportunity Program and the Workforce Quality and Productivity Improvement Program. In conclusion, the strategies employed have helped curb unemployment in East Lombok Regency, aligning with the mandates of the 1945 Constitution specifically Article 27, Paragraph (2) and Article 28D, Paragraph (2) which guarantee every citizen the right to work and a decent livelihood. Although implementation faces challenges such as budget constraints and a misalignment between workforce competencies and market demands these efforts must be continuously enhanced to ensure that unemployment mitigation in East Lombok Regency becomes more effective and fully complies with the constitutional mandate.
