Abstract

The Israel–Palestine conflict is regarded as a global humanitarian issue that contradicts the second principle of Pancasila, “Just and civilized humanity.” This study aims to examine how the boycott movement against products affiliated with Israel reflects the humanitarian values of Pancasila and how first-semester students of the English Education Program at FPBS UPI actualize these values through their participation in the movement. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through questionnaires, interviews, and literature review. The findings reveal that students primarily learn about the boycott movement from social media and view it as a form of humanitarian solidarity. Although participation remains inconsistent, it is driven by empathy, moral responsibility, and awareness of global humanitarian issues. The boycott movement is perceived as aligned with the second principle of Pancasila as it represents a stance against injustice and human rights violations. Therefore, the boycott serves as a form of actualizing Pancasila’s humanitarian values within the context of international issues.
