This research is motivated by the low interest in reading, arithmetic operations, and learning motivation of students, so that collaboration between teachers and parents is needed through a learning assistance program. This study aims to describe learning assistance strategies, the forms of teacher and parent involvement, and their impact on students' literacy and numeracy skills through the learning assistance program at SD Negeri Trowono 1 Gunungkidul. This study applies a qualitative approach through a case study design. The subjects included the principal, third-grade teachers, all 17 third-grade students, and six parents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the application of the Miles and Huberman model with validity tests through triangulation of sources, techniques, time, and reference materials. The existing findings confirm that the learning assistance strategy is implemented through socialization, shared perceptions, and shared commitment between teachers and parents. The involvement of both parties is realized through intensive communication, learning assistance, motivation, monitoring, and periodic evaluation. This program has had a positive impact on increasing interest and motivation in learning, reading, arithmetic, and literacy and numeracy skills, while simultaneously fostering more disciplined learning habits and strengthening the synergy between teachers and parents. The novelty of this research lies in the collaborative model between teachers and parents, independently designed at the classroom level through regular learning support without relying on external programs.
