Abstract

Community service activities through the Community Service Program (KKN) play an important role in supporting character development and strengthening religious values within local communities. This activity aimed to provide character education and strengthen religious moderation through anti-bullying socialization and Islamic competitions held as part of the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday in Pagar Sari Hamlet, Kampung Baru Village. The activity employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through participatory observation, interviews, and documentation. The main programs consisted of anti-bullying socialization for adolescents, reinforcement of religious moderation values, and Islamic competitions, including the call to prayer (azan), memorization of short Qur’anic chapters, and Islamic-themed coloring, which were integrated into the Maulid Nabi commemoration. The results showed that educational and participatory approaches encouraged participants to understand the importance of respecting others, avoiding bullying, developing tolerance, and strengthening religious values. The Islamic competitions and Maulid Nabi commemoration also provided a space for social interaction that strengthened community ties, togetherness, and participation. Thus, the integration of character education, religious moderation, and religious activities can serve as a relevant form of student community service in supporting the development of a generation that is characterized by positive values, tolerant, and morally grounded.
