Abstract

Abstract. The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on education, causing a switch from conventional learning to distance (online) learning. This change in the learning model has put special pressure on teachers, especially kindergarten teachers. This research aimed to examine the relationship between social support and psychological well-being in kindergarten teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. Research respondents were kindergarten teachers (N = 85) in Surabaya selected using purposive sampling techniques. The scales used were the social support scale and psychological well-being scale compiled by the researchers. The research results showed a positive relationship between social support and psychological well-being in kindergarten teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. The other results showed that the higher the social support from colleagues, the higher the psychological well-being of kindergarten teachers.

Abstract

Abstract. One of the things that individuals focused on in emerging adulthood was their physical appearance and their concern for body image. Body image was a person's perception of their body. This study aimed to look at the relationship between gratitude and body image. Participants in this study totaled 99 women (Mean age 20.64 / SD age 1.81) in emerging adulthood who had experienced body shaming. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. The research instrument used gratitude and body image scales. The data analysis technique used in this study was product moment correlation. The results showed a positive relationship between gratitude and body image with a correlation value of 0.289 and p = 0.004 (p < 0.05) with an effective contribution of 8.3%. That is, the higher the gratitude, the more positive the body image would be. The results of the study could be used as an intervention design.

Abstract

Domestic violence (DV) has a negative impact on women, especially older adults who have endured it for the longest periods compared to other age groups. After separation, they need psychological well-being (PWB), which first requires going through a period of Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG). This involves positive coping after trauma, including greater appreciation for life, personal strength, spiritual change, closer relationships, and new possibilities (Tedeschi & Calhoun, 2012). Following PTG, these factors are adapted and directed toward good PWB, defined as the ability to accept oneself, maintain positive relationships, live independently, control one’s environment, have clear life goals, and strive for growth (Ryff, 1995). This study aims to describe the PWB of women survivors of domestic violence. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with three older adult informants. The findings show that all three informants underwent PTG: they adopted a growth mindset to develop themselves, sought help from others, recognized the importance of social support, deepened spirituality, and strengthened their relationship with God. These aspects contributed to excellent PWB, as all informants were able to accept themselves and forgive the past; maintain positive relationships with family, friends, and children; live autonomously; master their environment; achieve life goals and satisfaction; and strive for betterment for themselves, God, and others. Protective and risk factors also influenced their PWB

Abstract

Air Susu Ibu (ASI) adalah asupan alami yang tidak tergantikan. Target Pemerintah agar 80% ibu menyusui minimal 6 bulan belum tercapai. Untuk mengantisipasinya dilakukan Promosi Kesehatan dengan penyuluhan dan bacaan (buku karya peneliti). Studi ini meneliti efektivitas intervensinya. Metode penelitian: I) kelompok 45 ibu hamil yang pernah diberi intervensi suluh (S), atau bacaan (B), atau suluh+bacaan (S+B), dan sekarang anak sudah berumur lebih dari enam bulan. Kepada mereka dikirim (per surat) kuesioner dengan pilihan jawaban (analisis one shot case study); II) kelompok eksperimen pre-post test design, terdiri dari 30 ibu hamil dan 30 ibu pasca melahirkan kurang dari 1 bulan. Tiap kelompok dibagi tiga sub-kelompok (a 10 orang) yang masing-masing mendapat intervensi S, atau B, atau S+B. Hasil kelompok I: sebanyak 84% ibu berhasil menyusui lebih dari enam bulan. Secara keseluruhan (untuk kelompok I dan II) dapat disimpulkan bahwa ke-tiga intervensi berperan positif dalam meningkatkan sikap dan wawasan, dengan intervensi S+B paling kuat berpengaruh pada kelompok II. Hasil ini dapat diimplementasikan pada Promosi Kesehatan untuk menggalakkan ibu menyusui
