Under the Regulation of the Minister of Villages Number 2 of 2024, village governments are required to allocate food security funds involving Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). BUMDes X in Tasikmalaya faces accountability challenges due to limited human resources and a history of past business closures. This study aims to design and implement a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) method to comprehensively evaluate BUMDes performance. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. A SWOT analysis yielded 15 specific KPIs categorized into the four BSC perspectives. During the initial operational period, the performance evaluation resulted in a total score of 65,87, classifying it as "Good" (yellow indicator). The Internal Business Process perspective achieved the highest score (19,13) with an 82,1% target achievement rate—driven by budget efficiency—despite production delays caused by weather conditions. Conversely, the Financial perspective recorded the lowest score (14,73) with a 52.6% target achievement rate, due to limitations in distribution and stock availability. The study recommends supply chain partnerships and the adoption of harvesting and drying technologies to optimize the sustainability of the BUMDes.
