Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of optimizing Human Resource Management (HRM) by the principal at SMA Negeri 11 Kendari in an effort to increase teacher work motivation to support the creation of effective learning. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results showed that the principal performed optimization through competency-based planning, appropriate organization of tasks, providing motivation through appreciation systems and leadership by example, as well as clinical supervision. This strategy is proven to be able to increase work ethic and teacher innovation in the teaching and learning process. The implication of this effective management is the creation of a conducive academic atmosphere for students. Keywords: Optimization, Principal, HRM, Teacher Motivation, Effective Learning.
