Abstract

The Tanjung Priok Branch of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia is a state-owned enterprise fully owned by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, representing the Republic of Indonesia. Despite its commitment to governance, the branch encounters certain deficiencies. These include challenges related to system optimization, hindering the realization of effective processes. Moreover, there's a recognized need to enhance the expertise of the workforce to better leverage existing knowledge assets. To address these concerns, a comprehensive study focused on the IT governance of the Tanjung Priok Branch was conducted. The research employed the COBIT 2019 framework to evaluate the IT governance landscape. The investigation pinpointed areas requiring attention and enhancement within the organization. Notably, three key domains emerged as pertinent: APO08 - Managed Relationship, APO11 - Managed Quality, and BAI08 - Managed Knowledge. The assessment revealed noteworthy insights into the organization's IT governance structure. The evaluation of the APO08 process indicated that its performance fell short of the anticipated target, remaining at level 3. On the other hand, the APO11 process achieved the desired level, reaching level 4 and demonstrating significant progress. Similarly, the BAI08 process attained level 4, successfully meeting the intended target. These findings shed light on areas of accomplishment as well as those requiring further attention. To propel the Tanjung Priok Branch of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia towards its envisioned level of excellence, it's imperative to address the identified gaps and build upon the areas of success. This strategic approach will pave the way for the realization of optimized IT governance, efficient processes, and empowered human resources, aligning with the organization's overarching objectives.

Abstract

This study addresses the urgent need for robust data security by evaluating the Information Security Management System (ISMS) of a private contractor poised for ISO 27001 certification. It introduces the context of pervasive data breaches that necessitate stringent security measures. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research method combines the KAMI index for quantitative maturity assessment with qualitative insights from staff interviews and literature reviews. The results reveal the contractor's ISMS maturity at levels I+ to II, indicating a shortfall in meeting the ISO 27001 benchmark. The discussion highlights the efficacy of the PDCA cycle in ISMS implementation, but also underscores the imperative for enhancements to fulfill certification requirements.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry is a cornerstone of Indonesia's economy, contributing significantly to the nation's GDP and exhibiting consistent growth. The sector's advancement is closely linked with technological innovations, particularly those associated with Industry 4.0, which integrates advanced technologies into production processes. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems play a pivotal role among these technologies. However, maximizing the potential of ERP systems necessitates robust IT governance, which can be assessed using the COBIT 2019 framework. This research targets the Cardboard Manufacturing Industry, which has not previously undergone an IT governance assessment, primarily due to the lack of a dedicated IT division. The study evaluates the current state of IT governance within the industry, focusing on specific objectives, including APO12 (Manage Risk), BAI09 (Manage Assets), APO14 (Manage Data), and EDM05 (Ensure Stakeholder Engagement). The methodology involves a comprehensive evaluation using the COBIT 2019 framework to identify gaps between the current and desired capability levels. The findings reveal significant discrepancies in IT governance maturity, highlighting improvement areas. Consequently, the study proposes recommendations to bridge these gaps, enhancing overall IT governance. Suggestions for developing customized ERP modules are further provided to support the industry's technological integration and efficiency.
