Abstract

Objective: This study examines the effects of work experience and production volume on the economic welfare level of traditional oil mining communities in Wonocolo Village, Bojonegoro. Design/Methods/Approach: A quantitative research design was applied using snowball sampling to obtain data from traditional oil mining communities in Wonocolo Village. Data processing was performed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) through SmartPLS 4.0 to evaluate the relationship among variables. Findings: The result indicate that both work experience and production volume have a positive and significant effect on the economic welfare levels of traditional oil mining communities. Miners with longer working experience demonstrate higher technical skills and efficiency, which directly increases theory household capacity. Furthermore, a higher volume of oil production significantly optimizes community income and enhances local living standards, showing that human capital and operational performance are critical drivers of welfare amid technological limitations. Originality/Value: This study extends previous discussions on traditional oil mining by focusing on determinants of economic welfare in Wonocolo Village through the application of the PLS analytical approach. Practical/Policy Implications: The results suggest the need for capacity development programs and sustainable production strategies to strengthen economic welfare growth and improve community welfare.
