Abstract

Adolescence is a crucial period in the development of healthy behaviors and lifestyles that will influence health quality in adulthood. However, adolescents still face various health challenges, such as low awareness of healthy living, mental health problems, risky behaviors, and lack of involvement in health programs. This study aims to analyze the integration of health promotion programs and adolescent participation in optimizing adolescent health management based on health policies. This study used a mixed methods with a sequential explanatory design, involving 88 respondents selected through cluster random sampling based on the Slovin formula. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman correlation test. The results of the study indicate that health promotion programs are related to health management because they can increase adolescent knowledge, awareness, and healthy lifestyle behaviors (r=0.251; p<0.05). In addition, active participation of adolescents in health programs is also related to health management because it helps increase program effectiveness according to needs (r=0.463; p<0.05). Good health policy support can strengthen the integration of health promotion and adolescent participation in improving adolescent quality of life. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen adolescent based health programs, improve health education, and expand opportunities for adolescent participation in various public health programs.
