Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of internal communication on employee work effectiveness at the Water Resources Operation and Maintenance Activity Implementation Unit V. This research employs an associative research method. The type of data examined in this study is quantitative data collected directly from primary sources through questionnaires. The population in this study consisted of all employees of the Water Resources Operation and Maintenance Activity Implementation Unit V, totaling 34 employees. The sample was determined using the saturated sampling method, in which all members of the population were included as the sample. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression analysis, partial hypothesis testing (t-test), and the coefficient of determination test (R² test). The results of the study indicate that internal communication has a positive and significant effect on employee work effectiveness at the Water Resources Operation and Maintenance Activity Implementation Unit V. This finding is supported by the t-count value of 5.311, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.037 (5.311 > 2.037), and the significance value of 0.000, which is lower than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) value is 0.469, indicating that the percentage of the influence of internal communication on employee work effectiveness was 46.9%. while the remaining of 53.1% was influenced by other variables outside this study, such as the work environment, work discipline, compensation, and organizational management policies and practices.
