Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work-life balance and job satisfaction on the performance of village government apparatus employees in Labuhan Sangoro Village, Maronge Sub-District. This research employs an associative research method. The type of data examined in this study is quantitative data in the form of scores obtained from respondents’ answers, collected directly from primary sources using questionnaires. The population in this study consisted of all village government apparatus employees in Labuhan Sangoro Village, totaling 35 people. The sample was determined using a saturated sampling method, in which all members of the population, totaling 35 people, were used as respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and R² test. The results of the study indicate that, partially, work-life balance had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, based on the t-statistic value being greater than the t-table value (10.628>2.037), and job satisfaction also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, based on the t-statistic value being greater than the t-table value (15.899>2.037). Simultaneously, work-life balance and job satisfaction had a significant effect on employee performance, based on the F-statistic value being greater than the F-table value (260.534>3.295). Furthermore, the R² value was 0.847, which means that the ability of the variables work-life balance and job satisfaction to influence employee performance was 84.7%, while the remaining of 15.3% was influenced by other variables outside this study, such as work environment, work discipline, compensation, and leadership styles.
