Abstract

Workers in the finishing grinding unit of an agricultural equipment manufacturing company experience high mental workload due to physical demands, high production targets, and suboptimal working conditions. This study analyzes the level of mental workload using the NASA-TLX method on five employees to identify the most influential indicators. The results show that Physical Demand (PD) is the most dominant factor contributing to the high workload, with WWL scores ranging from 68 to 81, and one employee categorized as having a very high and four as high workload. The main contributing factors include labor shortages, inadequate working environment, excessive production targets, and low motivation and job satisfaction. Several improvement recommendations are proposed, such as increasing the number of workers, improving workplace conditions, adjusting production targets, and enhancing motivation and job satisfaction. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to reduce mental workload, improve comfort, and maintain optimal productivity.
