Abstract

The high operational demands in the mining industry have the potential to increase work fatigue and occupational stress, which may adversely affect employee productivity and workplace safety. This study aimed to analyze the levels of work fatigue and occupational stress among non-organic employees at PT.U using the Swedish Occupational Fatigue Inventory (SOFI) and the Survey Diagnostic Stress (SDS) methods. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed with a total sampling technique involving 18 respondents. Primary data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaire distribution, and subsequently analyzed using the SOFI and SDS methods. The results indicated that the average work fatigue score was 4.61, while the average occupational stress score was 14, both of which were classified as moderate. Career development emerged as the primary contributor to occupational stress. These findings suggest that the integrated application of SOFI and SDS provides a comprehensive basis for developing effective workload management strategies to enhance productivity, occupational health, and workplace safety.
