Abstract

This research develops an E-Summative Assessment based on Quizizz to measure students' understanding of science material in Phase D of the Merdeka Curriculum, specifically Earth and the Solar System. Many schools still use conventional instruments that are less valid and reliable, with minimal use of digital media. The method used is R&D with the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The assessment instrument that was developed was validated by experts from aspects of content, construction, appearance and readability, technology, and practicality with an average validity value of Aiken's V of 0.94 (very high category). Reliability testing with Cronbach's Alpha achieved a value of 0.837, indicating high consistency. The effectiveness test using Mann-Whitney U yielded p = 0.000, with a Mean Rank of 42.50 for the experimental class and 14.50 for the control class, indicating that the understanding of science among students in the experimental class is significantly better. These findings demonstrate that digital assessment based on Quizizz is more effective than conventional methods, thus recommended as an innovative evaluation for improving the quality and motivation of student learning.
