Abstract

Ticket purchasing and visitor recording at Pantai Koka, Sikka Regency, are still done manually at the entrance counter, causing long queues, recording errors, delayed report preparation, and limited information on prices and ticket availability for prospective visitors. This study aims to design and build a web-based ticket booking information system for Pantai Koka that integrates online ticket booking, QRIS or cash payment with admin validation, digital ticket issuance, gallery management, and visitor and financial reports in a single platform. The integration of transaction, destination information, and reporting features constitutes the novelty of this study compared to previous tourism ticketing systems. This study used a qualitative approach, collecting data through seven days of direct observation, interviews with ticket counter staff, and a literature study from February to April 2026. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis to determine system requirements. The system was developed using the waterfall method with PHP and MySQL, designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML), and tested using black box testing. The result is a system that allows visitors to book tickets online, upload proof of payment, and receive digital tickets after payment is validated by the admin, while enabling managers to monitor visits and automatically obtain reports. Black box testing on 8 functional scenarios showed that 8 scenarios were successful and 0 failed, with a success rate of 100%, indicating that the tested functions meet the system requirements.
