Abstract

This study aims to develop an Android-based learning medium covering electronic components using MIT App Inventor and to determine its feasibility based on expert validation and user feedback. The study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, comprising the stages of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The developed product is a learning application featuring content on electronic components, animated videos, practice questions, a 4-band resistor calculator, and resistor circuit calculations. Feasibility was assessed through validation by media and subject matter experts, while user testing involved a teacher and 65 Grade X students from the Electrical Power Installation Engineering program at SMKN 4 Serang City. Feasibility was determined based on assessment percentages using a four-point Likert scale. The results indicate that media expert validation achieved a score of 90% and subject matter expert validation achieved 94%, both falling into the "highly feasible" category. Teacher feedback yielded a score of 95%, while student feedback was 85.28%, also placing the medium in the "highly feasible" category. These results demonstrate that the developed Android-based learning medium is suitable for supporting instruction on electronic components. A limitation of this study is that testing did not cover the medium's effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. Therefore, future research could examine the effectiveness of the medium on student learning outcomes across a broader range of subjects and locations.
