Abstract

School health screening provides routine information on children’s nutritional status and health conditions, but year-to-year comparisons depend on consistent population denominators. This study aimed to describe school health screening coverage, nutritional status, and selected screening findings in Bogor Regency, Indonesia, in 2023–2024. This descriptive study analyzed secondary routine data using counts and percentages calculated in Microsoft Excel. School screening coverage declined from 98.02% in 2023 to 97.71% in 2024, while student coverage decreased from 97.35% to 96.43%. The reported target student population nearly doubled, from 128,094 to 251,754, despite little change in the number of target schools. The proportions of underweight and overweight increased, whereas severe underweight, obesity, and stunting decreased. The reported proportion of dental caries declined from 38.66% to 36.58%. Other screening indicators showed mixed patterns. Overall, screening coverage remained high, while nutritional and health screening indicators varied between years. The substantial change in the target population limits direct comparison, and these descriptive findings do not establish program effectiveness or explain the observed changes.
