Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the role of travel agencies in supporting the increase of tourist visits to Edupark Alaska, Karanganyar. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving the management of Edupark Alaska and partner travel agencies in the Solo Raya region. The results of the study indicate four main roles of travel agencies in increasing tourist visits to Edupark Alaska: (1) arranging and selling educational tour packages; (2) establishing mutually beneficial promotional collaborations; (3) providing accurate information on attractions and amenities. These four roles facilitate market access, particularly for educational tours by school groups, as well as support the wider distribution of destination information. These findings confirm that synergistic collaboration between destination managers and travel agencies has the potential to support the increase of tourist visits to Edupark Alaska.
