Abstract

This research investigates the role of implementing Islamic economic principles in fostering social justice within communities. Employing a literature analysis approach, we review various academic studies highlighting the impact of principles such as distributive justice, prohibition of usury, and management of Zakat on economic structures and social welfare. Findings indicate that Islamic economic principles hold significant potential in reducing economic disparities, enhancing access to resources for vulnerable groups, and promoting general welfare. However, challenges such as lack of understanding, resistance to change, and legal uncertainty remain obstacles to effective implementation. The conclusion emphasizes the need for sustained efforts to improve understanding, support conducive policies, and address practical barriers to optimize the contribution of Islamic economic principles in creating a more just and economically sustainable society.
