Abstract

The success of the development of a nation is related to the quality of the Human Resources (HR) in it. One of the factors that determines the quality of human resources is the nutritional status of children as the nation's next generation. Efforts to intervene in nutrition for children in Indonesia still leave problems that have a serious impact on the quality of human resources. One of the problems is the disparity or gaps in the nutrition problems of children under five between provinces. There are a number of indicators that have been determined to see the performance of the nutrition problem management program in Indonesia. By looking at the performance indicators of the nutrition program, it is hoped that efforts to deal with nutrition problems can be carried out specifically in accordance with the performance achievements of the nutrition program in each region, so that disparities can be reduced. In this study, the analysis methods used were factor analysis and biplot analysis. Factor analysis was carried out because there were quite a lot of variables used. so the variables need to be summarized. Factor analysis in this study is used to reduce the variables used (14 variables) so that the main factor is formed which is able to explain the maximum diversity of the total data. Meanwhile, the biplot analysis was used to obtain a provincial mapping based on the achievement of the nutrition program performance indicators. The data source used was obtained from the Ministry of Health with the object of research being 34 provinces in Indonesia. The results of the factor analysis show that there are four main factors that represent the original variables, namely the total diversity that can be explained is 72.64 percent. The results of the biplot for the combination of factor 1 and factor 2 form three groups of provinces with similar performance indicators for the nutrition program. Then the results of the biplot for a combination of factors 3 and 4 form four groups of provinces with similar performance indicators for the nutrition program.
