Abstract

SDGs goal 8 target 7 states that child labor must be eliminated by 2025. However, according to KemenPPPA the number of child labor in Indonesia still reach 1.74 percent in 2022. The existence of child labor causes various disadvantages, it is necessary to consider efforts to eliminate child labor. Therefore, research was carried out to present an overview and identify variables that influence Indonesia’s child labor in 2022. From the August 2022 Sakernas, it was found that 1,60 percent of children aged 5-17 years were classified as child laborers. Using multilevel binary logistic regression, the results showed that the variables child’s schooling status, head of household job, head of household gender,head of household education, marital status of head of household, and mean year’s school had a significant effect on child labor.
