Abstract

Testing Connections Between PCs in a LAN Network Using Cisco Packet Tracer is an Important Step inUnderstanding and Analyzing Network Performance. The Problem Faced in This Research is the Lack of Understanding of How to Configure and Test Connections Between Devices in a Local Network, Which Can Result in Errors in Network Implementation in the Real World. The Purpose of This Research is to Evaluate Connectivity Between PCs in a LAN Network and Identify Potential Problems That May Arise During the Testing Process. The Methods Used in This Research Include Network Simulation Using Cisco Packet Tracer, Where Several PCs Are Connected Through Switches and Routers. Connection Testing is Performed Using the Ping Command to Ensure That Each Device Can Communicate with Each Other. The Results of the Test Show That All PCs Are Successfully Connected and Can Exchange Data Well, Although There Are Some Configurations That Need to Be Fixed to Improve Network Efficiency. The Contribution of This Research Is to Provide a Better Understanding of LAN Network Setup and Testing, as well as Providing Practical Guidance for IT Students and Professionals in Designing and Managing Effective Local Networks. This Research is Also Expected to Be a Reference for Future Network Development.
