Abstract

Providing basic immunization is an important effort to protect children from infectious diseases. Through immunization, a child's immune system is stimulated to produce antibodies against disease-causing agents. The provision of basic immunization is influenced by various factors related to maternal behavior and the role of the family, including knowledge, attitudes, and family support. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and family support and the completeness of basic immunization among children aged 10–18 months in the working area of the Senen District Community Health Center. The study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, and the sampling technique employed was cluster random sampling, consisting of 93 respondents. The data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant relationship between mothers' knowledge and the completeness of basic immunization (p-value = 0.000), mothers' attitudes and the completeness of basic immunization (p-value = 0.000), as well as family support and the completeness of basic immunization (p-value = 0.000). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and family support and the completeness of children's basic immunization in the working area of the Senen District Community Health Center. It is hoped that this study will enable healthcare professionals to develop more comprehensive health promotion strategies and expand family-based interventions so that the implementation of basic immunization can be carried out more effectively, equitably, and sustainably.
