Abstract

Limited spatial information has been a fundamental obstacle to developing economic potential and mobility in rural areas, particularly in Curugmanis Village. This community service program aims to address spatial disorientation through a hybrid approach: combining physical wayfinding infrastructure with digital spatial transformation. The method employed was Participatory Action Research (PAR), encompassing participatory planning, action implementation, field observation, and reflection with the community. The results demonstrate the successful installation of directional signage, which effectively facilitated visitor mobility and the flow of logistics to the village center. To validate the impact of this hybrid program, an evaluation was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 39 respondents (N=39). These respondents included internal parties such as representatives from the KKM student team and external parties, such as visitors and observers. It was confirmed that the lack of navigation infrastructure caused significant mobility challenges for visitors. The mean score for the indicator regarding difficulty in locating public service addresses (RT/RW) was low, at 1.76. Conversely, the implemented spatial interventions received positive validation; the indicator regarding the role of street signs in facilitating logistics deliveries achieved a mean score of 4.75, while the perceived urgency of mapping MSME locations on digital maps scored 4.68. These findings underscore the critical importance of the proposed physical and digital solutions for enhancing village accessibility. On the digital front, the program successfully geo-tagged the homes of neighborhood administrators (RT/RW) which serve as public service hubs as well as locations for bamboo weaving and *emping* (melinjo chip) micro-enterprises, all supported by the creation of visual promotional materials. In conclusion, this spatial intervention not only opens up access to public services but also significantly enhances the digital literacy and online visibility of local businesses, fostering sustainable market expansion.
