Abstract

The study was an ex post facto research design that aims to determine the comparison of the level of thinking skills of students based on Discovery Learning, PBL and PjBL. The subjects were selected based on an initial study of the implementation of each learning model in Bone district that were SMAN 20 Bone with Discovery Learning, SMAN 17 Bone with PBL learning and SMAN 5 Bone with PjBL learning. Data were collected using a test instrument consisting of 10 items where each indicator of critical thinking skills is represented by two items with a score range of 0-3 for each item. Indicators are prepared based on Ennies which consists of five aspects namely providing explanations, building basic skills, inferring skills, providing explanations, and strategies and tactics. The results showed the average score of critical thinking skills on static fluid material sorted from highest to lowest based on the learning model is (1) PjBL with an average score of 23.52 or 78.40% of the ideal maximum score, (2) Discovery Learning with an average score of 23.48 or 78.27% of the maximum score, and (3) PBL with an average score of 18.89 or 62.97% of the maximum score.
