Abstract

The purpose of study was to find out what Islamic value are contained in the kenduri tradition on welcoming the holy month of ramadhan in Senderak. Village, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. This study used qualitative method with observation and interview techniques with selected information using the snowball samping technique as a sample. The result of this study indicate that the kenduri tradition in welcoming the holy month of ramadhan is a tradision that is still very much mainained today that the kenduri tradition in welcoming the holy mont of ramadhan has several Islamic values, namely (1) increasing piety to Allah AWT, (2) Gratitude to Allah SWT, (3) Togetherness in worship, (4) Sharing between people, (5) Islamic ukhuwah values, (6) moral values
