Abstract

The commercialization of education has encouraged educational institutions to adopt edupreneurship as a strategy for achieving financial sustainability. However, maintaining institutional integrity while pursuing economic objectives remains a significant challenge. This study examines the implementation of Islamic business ethics in educational entrepreneurship as a framework for developing institutions with integrity and long-term sustainability. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis to collect data from educational business units. The findings reveal that the integration of the Islamic values of shiddiq (honesty), amanah (trustworthiness), tabligh (transparency), and fathanah (professional competence) strengthens transparent and accountable governance, enhances public trust, and reinforces institutional social capital. The study further demonstrates that institutional sustainability depends not only on business profitability but also on the integration of economic performance with educational and social missions through cross-subsidy mechanisms, ethical governance, and value-based leadership. The scientific contribution of this research lies in proposing a conceptual model that integrates Islamic business ethics with educational entrepreneurship to connect moral values, organizational governance, and institutional sustainability. The findings imply that Islamic business ethics can serve as a strategic managerial framework for improving accountability, organizational resilience, and institutional competitiveness while preserving the educational mission and social responsibility
