Abstract

The increasing urgency of climate change has heightened the importance of integrating green bonds and green technology into sustainable finance practices. This study systematically reviewed the role of green bonds and green technology as effective instruments for supporting sustainable financing and facilitating the transition to a low-carbon economy. The study employed a systematic literature review methodology to examine relevant studies published between 2016 and 2025, with a focus on reputable Scopus-indexed journal articles. A total of 52 articles were analyzed using the PICo framework. The findings identified research trends related to green bonds and green technology, challenges and opportunities in their implementation, and standards for evaluating green bonds. The study provided theoretical insights and policy recommendations for stakeholders to strengthen sustainable finance strategies and support the transition toward a more sustainable financial system.
