Abstract

Evaluation of Hospital Management Information Systems (SIMRS) is important to determine whether the implemented system supports users’ needs and provides benefits for hospital services. This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of SIMRS using the Human, Organization, Technology, and Benefit (HOT-Fit) framework at Sultan Thaha Shaifuddin Tebo Regional Hospital. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. The study population comprised all hospital staff who used SIMRS. Total sampling was applied, resulting in all 314 SIMRS users being included as respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire based on the HOT-Fit framework, covering the human, organization, technology, and benefit components, and were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the human component had a positive and significant effect on benefit (p<0.001), while the organization component had no significant effect on benefit (p=0.751). The technology component had a positive and significant effect on benefit (p<0.001). The adjusted R² of 0.862 indicated that the human, organization, and technology components jointly explained 86.2% of the variation in SIMRS benefits. In conclusion, the human and technology components significantly influenced the benefits of SIMRS implementation, whereas the organization component did not show a significant effect. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening user capacity and technology quality to optimize the benefits of SIMRS implementation.
