Abstract

Fertilization plays an important role in plant growth and development. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of banana corm liquid organic fertilizer, urea fertilizer, and their interaction on pak choy (Brassica rapa L.) growth. The experiment used a completely randomized design with two factors; banana corm liquid organic fertilizer at 0 ml, 10 ml, 20 ml, and 30 ml/plant-1 and urea fertilizer at 0 g, 0.5 g, 1 g, and 1.5 g/plant-1, with three replications. Data were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Duncan’s multiple range test (DMRT) at the 5% significance level. Urea significantly affected plant height, leaf number, leaf area, fresh weight, and dry weight, but not total chlorophyll content. Banana corm liquid organic fertilizer significantly affected leaf number and dry weight, but not the other measured parameters. The fertilizer interaction significantly affected plant height, leaf number, fresh weight, and dry weight, but not leaf area or total chlorophyll content. The combination of 0.5 g urea plant⁻¹ and 20 mL liquid organic fertilizer plant⁻¹ produced the best results for plant height, leaf number, leaf area, and dry weight, while 0.5 g urea plant⁻¹ combined with 10 mL liquid organic fertilizer plant⁻¹ produced the highest fresh weight.
