he management of laboratory equipment in vocational schools plays a crucial role in supporting practical learning activities. However, the borrowing and returning processes at the Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering Department of SMK Karya Nasional Sindangwangi were still managed manually, resulting in inefficient data recording, difficulties in tracking borrowing histories, and the lack of systematic documentation of equipment conditions after use. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Laboratory Equipment Borrowing and Monitoring Information System to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of laboratory administration. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology, consisting of the Inception, Elaboration, Construction, and Transition phases. The system was developed using the Laravel framework and MySQL database, while its functionality was evaluated using Black Box Testing. The developed system integrates equipment inventory management, borrowing and returning transactions, equipment condition monitoring, damage reporting, and report generation within a role-based access environment. Black Box Testing was conducted on 11 main system modules comprising 66 test scenarios, and all test scenarios were successfully executed (100% success rate), indicating that the system fulfilled all specified functional requirements. The implementation of the proposed system contributes to improving laboratory administrative efficiency, providing more accurate and integrated transaction records, facilitating equipment condition monitoring, and supporting digital laboratory management in vocational education.
