Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital transformation has significantly enhanced organizational efficiency while simultaneously increasing exposure to sophisticated cyber threats that may compromise business continuity, stakeholder trust, and long-term organizational sustainability. These challenges require IT service organizations to strengthen cyber resilience by integrating effective digital leadership with employee cybersecurity capability, thereby fostering a secure, innovative, and sustainable digital ecosystem. This study aims to examine the influence of digital leadership on employee cybersecurity capability and its subsequent impact on organizational cyber resilience. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey of employees working in IT service organizations, and the proposed research model was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that digital leadership positively and significantly enhances employee cybersecurity capability, which in turn plays a crucial role in strengthening organizational cyber resilience. Furthermore, employee cybersecurity capability acts as a significant mediating mechanism between digital leadership and cyber resilience, enabling organizations to anticipate, detect, respond to, and recover more effectively from evolving cyber threats. These findings demonstrate that adaptive digital leadership combined with continuous investment in employees' cybersecurity competencies constitutes a critical organizational capability for maintaining resilient digital operations and sustaining long-term organizational performance. This study contributes to the growing literature on digital leadership and cyber resilience while providing strategic insights for IT service organizations seeking to establish a sustainable cybersecurity culture that supports resilient digital infrastructure and inclusive technological innovation.
