Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Canva-assisted discovery learning model to the mathematical understanding abilities of eighth-grade students in terms of achievement, improvement, and student responses. The method used is a mixed method with a Convergent Parallel Mixed design. The study population was all students of SMPN 3 Cikalongwetan, while the research sample was determined in class VIII B as the experimental class and VIII A as the control class. Data collection techniques were carried out through instruments in the form of questions and questionnaires, while the data were analyzed using SPSS 27 and Microsoft Excel. The results of the study showed that the achievement and improvement of mathematical understanding abilities in the experimental class were better, and students' responses to the application of the Canva-assisted discovery learning model were in the positive criteria.
