Abstract

Indonesian society inherits plural society of Dutch colonization. One of the major problems is related to the minority ethnicity and its position towards the majority. One of the ethnicities which receives special attention from the government is Chinese. This article is trying to analyse the history of Indonesia Government Policy from Indonesian Independence to Reformasi. The results show that from Indonesian Independence to The New Order era, discrimination politics to Chinese in Indonesia occurs. Chinese is trying to create their image being Indonesian by imitating the majority’s cultural identity or practicing assimilation based on the location where they live. After Reformasi in 1998, the state politics changed by respecting cultures or multicultural society. Therefore, some Chinese identities start to strengthen, but most of them still follow the majority culture. Masyarakat Indonesia mewarisi masyarakat majemuk penjajahan Belanda. Salah satu masalah utama terkait dengan etnis minoritas dan posisinya terhadap mayoritas. Salah satu etnis yang mendapat perhatian khusus dari pemerintah adalah Cina. Artikel ini mencoba menganalisis sejarah Kebijakan Pemerintah Indonesia dari era Kemerdekaan Indonesia hingga Reformasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari kemerdekaan Indonesia ke era Orde Baru, terjadi diskriminasi politik terhadap Tionghoa di Indonesia. Orang Tionghoa mencoba membuat citra mereka menjadi orang Indonesia dengan meniru identitas budaya mayoritas atau mempraktikkan asimilasi berdasarkan lokasi tempat mereka tinggal. Setelah era reformasi pada tahun 1998, politik negara berubah dengan menghormati budaya atau masyarakat multikultural. Oleh karena itu, beberapa identitas Cina mulai menguat, tetapi kebanyakan dari mereka masih mengikuti budaya mayoritas.

Abstract

The objectives of community service are as follows: (1) providing knowledge about the making of learning media based on local wisdom for MGMP IPS teachers of SMP Semarang City as a form of social conservation to face the era of the industrial revolution 4.0; (2) train the making of learning media based on local wisdom for MGMP IPS teachers of Semarang City Junior High School as a form of social conservation to face the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The methods for carrying out this service include outlining priority issues; detailing the justification of problems and solutions; approaching service through lectures, group discussions, questions and answers, brainstorming, and demonstrations; detail work procedures. The results of community service activities, namely the Semarang MGMP Social Sciences teacher, were given material about social studies learning media and material on social science learning media based on local wisdom. The conclusion in this community service is that the enthusiasm of the trainees makes its own optimism for the development of science and teaching in schools.   Tujuan dalam pengabdian masyarakat sebagai berikut: (1) memberikan pengetahuan tentang pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal bagi guru MGMP IPS SMP Kota Semarang sebagai wujud konservasi sosial untuk menghadapi era revolusi industri 4.0; (2) melatihkan pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal bagi guru MGMP IPS SMP Kota Semarang sebagai wujud konservasi sosial untuk menghadapi era revolusi industri 4.0. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini antara lain memaparkan persoalan prioritas; merinci justifikasi permasalahan dan solusi; melakukan pendekatan pengabdian melalui ceramah, diskusi kelompok, tanya jawab, curah pendapat, dan demonstrasi; merinci prosedur kerja. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yaitu guru IPS MGMP Kota Semarang diberi materi tentang media pembelajaran IPS dan materi tentang media pembelajaran IPS berbasis kearifan lokal. Simpulan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu Antusias para peserta pelatihan menjadikan optimisme tersendiri bagi pengembangan keilmuan dan pengajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence with the Formation of Values and Character in the Field of Education. Artficial Intelligence is a branch of computer science that emphasizes the development of machine intelligence, thinking patterns and working like humans. For example, voice recognition, problem solving, learning and planning. AI is a branch of the digital literacy system that has a major role in the intelligence development process. In the field of education it also needs innovation efforts in learning media, and one of them is the application of AI. The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of student learning and to instill values and character while adapting to the AI system. The method used uses experimental methods to find out how adaptation and student responses to the base system in overcoming the problems that occur. AI makes it easy for students and students to support their studies in a visibility and comprehensive manner. Artificial Intelligence does create a student's mindset to be more critical and observant, but it will not completely guarantee good grades and character. So, there is a need for direct guidance and direction from educators coupled with the use of artificial intelligence-based features.
