Abstract

Implementation of Principles of Green Chemistry in teaching chemistry can become an essential approach to enhance students’ awareness of the environmental problem. In contrast with the goal of sustainability, chemistry practicum normally deals with chemicals and waste management which contribute to environmental problem. A shift toward more sustainable and economical experiments is essential to maintain the existence of the practicum in the senior high curriculum. Small Scale Chemistry (SSC) practicum is one of the approaches to promote sustainability in chemistry practicum by using smaller scale and safer apparatus. It is expected to produce less waste. It is also safer and more economical chemistry experiment. This research aims to study the integration of principles of green chemistry in chemistry practicum by using SSC experiment. This study investigates two main topics in senior high school chemistry subject: electrochemistry and acid-base indicator. This study has shown the practice of integration of the principles of green chemistry approach into senior high school chemistry practicum through SSC. The experiments demonstrated in this study enable us to integrate Principles of Green Chemistry in terms of preventing waste, using less hazardous chemical, and conducting safer experiments which can be implemented in senior high school chemistry practicum.

Abstract

Islam is a universal religion that regulates  relationship not only between mankind and God, between mankind and mankind but also between mankind and their soroundings.  It is within this context that moral teaching of the Qur’an and of prophet’s tradisition often become  references of  a Muslim’s deed, including his or her art expression. Abstract

In Islam, brotherhood plays a great role. Even, Islam orders its adherents to build up brotherhood. Therefore, Islam orders its adherents to avoid  conflict  among them. If  two groups of Muslim  fight each other, Islam orders  the other group of  Muslim  to be mediator of the two disputing groups. It is the concept of Islam for  building up harmonious life among people that can lead to the intended civil society.

Abstract

Abstract Language is very important and the impression that Nahwu is a difficult science to learn, especially by Muslims. As one of the basic sciences in Arabic, Nahwu's science cannot be ignored because without Nahwu's knowledge, Arabic will become chaotic and the order of words and sentences will be disorganized. Therefore, in learning Arabic, it is important to know Nahwu's knowledge, even though this method of teaching science is quite widely practiced by nahwu teachers, but students continue to face difficulties in learning it. Therefore, it is necessary to use suitable teaching methods and appropriate steps and subject matter that must be prioritized to be taught to students, so as to facilitate them in learning Nahwu science.[1] Related to this, there are a number of issues that need to be discussed, namely: What is the importance of learning nahwu, especially by students who want to communicate in Arabic ?; What method should be used so that students can learn nahwu easily?
