Abstract

Among Generation Z workers in the Kolaka Regency mining sector, this research investigates how work-life balance affects job satisfaction and the likelihood of job jumping. In addition, we talk about how organisational commitment acts as a mediator amogst the two factors. A quantitative approach urtilized for study, which included an explanatory research design also cross-sectional framework. To choose 150 people to take part in the study, researchers employed a purposive sampling method. Utilizing SmartPLS 4 for PLS-SEM analysis of the responses. Using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire, the researchers gathered data. Issues with work-life balance, job satisfaction, and organisational commitment bigly lower the chance of job hopping, according to the research. After achieving a good work-life balance and reporting high levels of job satisfaction, employees are more likely to invest in their businesses. Findings indicate employees are less likely to switch professions when they report high levels of job satisfaction, work-life balance, and organisational devotion. If Generation Z employees in Kolaka Regency's mining industry want to keep their positions, they need to be happy in their work, have a healthy work-life balance, and be committed to their organization.
