Abstract

The increasing demand for packaging has created significant opportunities for growth in the packaging printing industry, particularly in offset printing. Efficient production processes are essential for ensuring product quality, timely delivery, and operational effectiveness. This study aims to evaluate the production workflow in a packaging printing company that uses offset printing technology. A descriptive qualitative method was employed to examine the existing production process and identify operational challenges across the production stages. A flowchart was used to map the production workflow, which comprises three main stages: prepress, printing, and postpress. The analysis focused on five key aspects: human resources, machinery, materials, methods, and management. The results indicate that the packaging production process faces challenges in all five areas, potentially affecting production efficiency and workflow continuity. Human resources, methods, and management were identified as the areas with the greatest potential for immediate improvement. Improvements in these areas are expected to promote better coordination, more consistent implementation of production procedures, and more effective production management. This study provides an overview of the existing production workflow and highlights priority areas for improvement. The findings can serve as a basis for developing strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of packaging production in the offset printing industry.
