Abstract

This study examines the concept of integrative methodology as a unified approach that combines qualitative and quantitative paradigms in scientific research. Integrative methodology, also known as mixed methods research, offers epistemological flexibility that enables researchers to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the phenomena under investigation. This study employs library research by analyzing various relevant primary and secondary literatures. The results indicate that integrative methodology is not merely a combination of data collection techniques, but rather a philosophical construction grounded in pragmatism as its ontological and epistemological foundation. This approach provides significant added value, especially in multidimensional research, where a single paradigm alone is unable to adequately answer all research questions. This study concludes that the application of integrative methodology requires adequate methodological competence, systematic planning, and a deep understanding of the fundamental assumptions underlying each research paradigm.
