Abstract

This study investigates the influence of remuneration, work motivation, and work discipline on employee performance both individually and collectively while also identifying the variable with the greatest predictive power. A quantitative descriptive design was applied to a workforce of 488 employees at a state polytechnic in Surabaya. Using the Slovin formula at a 10% error margin, 83 respondents were drawn via random sampling and surveyed with a five-point Likert questionnaire. Multiple linear regression processed through SPSS yielded the following outcomes: remuneration exerted the strongest partial effect (t = 4.539, sig. = 0.000), followed by work motivation (t = 3.479, sig. = 0.001) and work discipline (t = 3.171, sig. = 0.002). Jointly, the three predictors significantly explained 51.8% of the variance in employee performance (F = 28.288, sig. = 0.000). Remuneration proved dominant (β = 0.388), underscoring that equitable, performance-linked compensation is a pivotal lever for elevating workforce commitment and productivity in vocational higher education.
